My love for the piano began aged 10 years old. Classically trained, I started out playing the likes of Bach and Beethoven. I became enamoured with pop music in my early teens, which has lead to a long-standing love affair with artists such as Elton John, Alicia Keys and Ben Folds. I was also lucky enough to start violin lessons when I was 7 years old, and although I took this to grade 8 level, it is only recently I've started playing this gorgeous instrument in my performances. My debut album 'Freedom Warrior' features my string playing and arrangements.

Graduating with a BA 1st class (hons) degree and a Masters degree from Leeds College of Music, I began my professional music career as a wedding singer, songwriter and vocal coach, whilst playing regularly in the music venues, bars and restaurants in and around the city of Leeds and beyond.

My love for writing songs together with my live performances has taken me all around the world, opening for the likes of Billy Ocean, The Proclaimers, Nerina Pallot and The Vaccines.  Having spent much of my early twenties in America and Scandinavia writing, recording and performing, I put roots down in London for 5 years, where I had a residency at one of London's most prestigious music venues, The Piano Works, alongside playing in other venues in the city, and other events up and down the country. At the beginning of the pandemic, when all the music venues closed, I made the decision to move back up to Yorkshire. Now in 2024, I live in my VW Crafter van with my two rescue dogs Zala and Simba! I enjoy adventuring between music events, and love when I am booked in a new area with new countryside to explore.

Because I am a full time van lifer, travelling to venues and events is very easy and enjoyable for me even if they are long distance.  I own all equipment I need for any performance (PA system / desk / speakers, Nord electric piano and Shure SM58 microphone) which are all PAT tested, and I have insurance through the Musicians Union.

 

On top of being a great performer and perfect addition to your event, I am very professional, reliable and polite when interacting with clients, guests and staff.  Whether it be providing the background ambiance, singalong entertainment, or a feature performance for your event, I will happily discuss with you what sort of repertoire you would like. With a bank of over 600 songs, I really can cater for any musical taste, with the unique addition of taking and playing requests during your event if wanted.​
